Legally Blonde to Launch First National Tour in September

Legally Blonde will launch its first national tour September 23 at Rhode Island's Providence Performing Arts Center. As on Broadway, Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell will direct and choreograph. Casting for the tour has not been set.

In addition to Providence, initial tour stops will include Baltimore, MD, Rochester, NY, Schenectady, NY, Philadelphia, PA, Hartford, CT, Washington, DC, East Lansing, MI, St. Louis, MO, Houston, TX, Orlando, FL, West Palm Beach, FL, Greenville, SC, Durham, NC, Charlotte, NC, St. Paul, MO, Dayton, OH, Kansas City, MO, Atlanta, GA, Dallas, TX and Costa Mesa, CA. More cities will be announced soon.

Legally Blonde earned seven 2007 Tony Award nominations, and its original Broadway cast recording topped Billboard's Cast Album chart.
