Young Frankenstein star Megan Mullally will host the 2008 Actors Fund Gala on May 5 at Cipriani 42nd Street. The event will honor actor Alec Baldwin, opera singer Renee Fleming and Tony Award-winning producers Bonnie Comley and Stewart F. Lane.
The gala will feature performers from stage, screen and television, as well as the presentation of the Nedda Harrigan Logan Award to Baldwin and the Lee Strasberg Artistic Achievement Award to Fleming. Comley and Lane will accept the Actors Fund Medal of Honor. The evening's entertainment is being produced by Jed Bernstein.
Proceeds from the gala will benefit the Actors Fund of America's many programs serving the performing arts community, including social services, emergency financial assistance, a free health clinic, insurance resources, housing, employment and training and an assisted living and skilled nursing facility.
