Distracted, described as a fast-paced and funny look at parenting in the age of the Internet and Ritalin, follows a contemporary American mother as she reaches out to teachers, psychotherapists and neighbors to figure out if Attention Deficit Disorder is the root of her son's problems. The play debuted at L.A.'s Mark Taper Forum in March 2007 in a production that starred Rita Wilson.
Nixon received a 2006 Tony Award for her performance in Rabbit Hole and has appeared on Broadway The Women, Indiscretions, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Angels In America, Hurlyburly, and The Real Thing. Her most recent New York theatrical credit was the off-Broadway revival of The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. On the big screen, she co-stars in the highly anticipated Sex and the City movie, being released Memorial Day weekend.
