Second Stage has announced the cast of its forthcoming revival of Richard Nelson's Some Americans Abroad, the final production of the off-Broadway company's current mainstage season. Directed by Gordon Edelstein, the play will begin previews on June 26. No opening night has been announced.
The ensemble cast of Some Americans Abroad will include Emily Bergl A Touch of the Poet, TV's Men in Trees, Tom Cavanagh Urinetown, title role in TV's Ed, John Cunningham Titanic, Company, Six Degrees of Separation, Fiona Dourif TV's Deadwood, Halley Feiffer subUrbia, Enid Graham Honour, Cristin Milioti Coram Boy, Pamela Payton-Wright The Show-Off, Mourning Becomes Electra, Anthony Rapp Rent, Corey Stoll Old Acquaintance, Intimate Apparel and Todd Weeks The Last Night of Ballyhoo.
Some Americans Abroad was originally produced in 1990 at Lincoln Center Theater's Mitzi Newhouse Theatre with a cast that included Kate Burton, Frances Conroy, Henderson Forsythe, Bob Balaban and Elisabeth Shue.
The Second Stage production will have scenic design by Michael Yeargan, costume design by Jennifer von Mayrhauser, lighting design by Donald Holder, and original music/sound design by John Gromada.
