Atlantic Theater Company has added two performances to its sold-out engagement of Conor McPherson's Port Authority. The play, a trio of overlapping monologues, had extended to June 22 before previews began and will now offer evening performances on two Sundays, June 8 and June 22. Directed by Henry Wishcamper, Port Authority began previews on April 30 and opened off-Broadway on May 21 at Atlantic's Linda Gross Theatre.
Set against the backdrop of contemporary Dublin, Port Authority weaves the stories of three generations of Irishmen as they experience loss, failure and the elusiveness of love. Atlantic's production stars Tony Award nominee Brian d'Arcy James Next to Normal, Sweet Smell of Success, 2007 Tony winner John Gallagher, Jr. Spring Awakening and 2008 Tony nominee Jim Norton The Seafarer.
