Julie White and Michael Cerveris to Host Tony Pre-Show

The first hour of presentations of the 2008 Tony Awards, hosted by former winners Julie White The Little Dog Laughed and Michael Cerveris Assassins, will be webcast at TonyAwards.com beginning at 7:10pm. According to the Tony site, the first hour will include presentations of unspecified "Creative Arts" Tony Awards as well as the Regional Theater Tony to Chicago Shakespeare Theater. The pre-show will take place from Radio City Music Hall prior to the CBS telecast.

Whoopi Goldberg will host the Tony telecast beginning at 8pm, which will feature performances by 11 musicals from the 2007-08 season, plus excerpts from The Lion King and Rent.
