Margaret Colin, David Rasche and Laura Odeh will star in Primary Stages' New York premiere of Lee Blessing's A Body of Water. Previews begin at 59E59 Theaters on September 30 for a limited engagement opening October 14, and running through November 9, directed by Maria Mileaf.
A Body of Water tells the story of Avis Colin and Moss Rasche, who awake one morning in a house in the forested hills that overlooks a picturesque body of water. The weather's great, the view's magnificent, but neither of them seems to know whose house this is or who they are. Will the stranger at their doorstep be able to help?
Rasche starred in the original Broadway cast of David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow in 1988. His other Broadway credits include Getting and Spending, Lunch Hour and The Shadow Box. In addition to appearing in many Mamet works Sexual Perversity in Chicago, Edmond, he is best known for his recurring TV roles on shows like Sledge Hammer!, DAG, Nurses, All My Children and Ryan's Hope.
Odeh debuted on Broadway in 2004's The Rivals. She's also appeared off-Broadway in Gaslight, the Irish Repertory's Mrs. Warren's Profession and King Lear at the Public Theater.
Blessing is the author of over 30 plays, including A Walk in the Woods, which earned him Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize nominations in 1988.
A Body of Water's creative team includes Neil Patel set, Candice Donnelly costumes, Jeff Croiter lights, and Bart Fasbender sound.
