Atlantic Theater Company has announced a one-week extension of David Pittu's comedy with music What's That Smell: The Music of Jacob Sterling. The show, which began performances on September 3 and opened on September 10, will now run through October 5 at Atlantic Stage 2.
Pittu co-directed with Neil Pepe and stars in What's That Smell, which features music by Randy Redd. This absurd musical satire charts the career of eternally up-and-coming and fictitious musical theater composer Jacob Sterling. The musical is a rare, up close and personal visit with an artist of questionable gifts who performs from his songbook and shares his human struggle to keep musical theater alive and well in the 21st century.
