The London cast of Tracy Letts' August: Osage County is complete, with the addition of Gary Cole as Steve Heidebrecht, fiance of the youngest sister in the dysfunctional Weston clan. The play will begin previews at the National Theatre's Lyttleton on November 21, directed by Tony winner Anna D. Shapiro.
Cole joins previously announced cast members Ian Barford as Little Charles, Mariann Mayberry as Karen Weston, Tony nominee Amy Morton as Barbara Fordham, Sally Murphy as Ivy Weston, Jeff Perry as Bill Fordham, Tony winner Rondi Reed as Mattie Fay Aiken, Tony winner Deanna Dunagan as Violet Weston, Kimberly Guerrero as Johnna Longwell, Michael McGuire as Beverly Weston, Paul Vincent O'Connor as Charlie Aiken, Molly Ranson as Jean Fordham and Troy West as Sheriff Deon Gilbeau.
August: Osage County tells the explosively funny tale of the Weston clan, which reunites at home in Oklahoma after the disappearance of the family patriarch. The play won the 2008 Best Play Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize and continues its Broadway run at the Music Box Theatre. No announcement of future casting in the Broadway company has been made.
