As Tom Wopat revealed in a recent Q&A interview with Broadway.com, he will headline a new national tour of the hit musical Chicago. According to Variety, the Tony-nominated star will play Billy Flynn on the first seven stops of the tour, which kicks off in Charlotte, NC, on November 11, followed by stops in Raleigh, Boston and Calgary. Joining Wopat on the road as Roxie Hart will be Bianca Marroquin who wrote about her long history with the show in a First Person essay for Broadway.com, along with Terra C. MacLeod as Velma Kelly and Roz Ryan as Matron "Mama" Morton.
Wopat and Marroquin are currently appearing in the Broadway production at the Ambassador Theatre. No announcement has been made on their final performance date or who will assume the roles of Billy and Roxie.
