Manhattan Theatre Club’s Broadway production of Nick Whitby’s To Be or Not To Be will close on November 16, at the end of its subscription run. The play had been offering single tickets through November 23, but that week of performances will not take place. To Be or Not to Be opened on October 14 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, directed by Casey Nicholaw.
To Be or Not To Be is the story of Joseph and Maria Tura Jan Maxwell, a theatrical couple getting ready to open their latest production. As the German invasion gets underway, the theater is closed by the censors, forcing the troupe to face desperate times. But when a handsome young bomber pilot enlists their help to catch a spy, what is a group of actors to do?
In addition to Rasche, Maxwell and Maloney, the cast of To Be or Not to Be includes Peter Benson, Robert Dorfman, Steve Kazee, Michael McCarty, Kristine Nielsen, Brandon Perler, Rocco Sisto, Jimmy Smagula and Marina Squerciati.
