Rock of Ages to End Off-Broadway Run January 4

Rock of Ages, the hit '80s rock musical, will end its off-Broadway run at New World Stages on January 4, 2009. The show, written by Chris D'Arienzo and directed by Kristin Hanggi, may be aiming for a spring Broadway bow, possibly at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. Rock of Ages began its off-Broadway run on October 1, opening on October 16.

The musical currently features American Idol alum Constantine Maroulis, Kelli Barrett, Nova Bergeron, Adam Dannheisser, Mitchell Jarvis, Michele Mais, Lauren Molina, Brian Munn, Angel Reed, Paul Schoeffler, Will Swenson, Wesley Taylor, Savannah Wise, Jeremy Woodard, Jackie Burns, Lara Janine, Christopher Spaulding and Tad Wilson.

The show is produced by Matthew Weaver, Carl Levin and Corner Store Entertainment, in association with Scott Prisand, Janet Billig Rich, Hillary Weaver, Jeff Davis, Charles Rolecek, Susanne Brook, Jennifer Maloney and Prospect Pictures.
