Two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole has added eight shows to her acclaimed cabaret engagement at Cafe Carlyle. The run, which began on January 20, will now continue through February 11, directed by Scott Wittman, with musical direction by John Oddo.
Ebersole’s concert includes songs by Rodgers & Hart, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Stephen Foster and Cole Porter, with a little bit of opera. The actress is also in rehearsal for the Broadway revival of Noel Coward’s Blithe Spirit, which begins previews on February 26.
Three-time Tony Award-nominee Kelli O’Hara, currently starring in the Broadway revival of South Pacific, will make her Cafe Carlyle debut in a two-week engagement March 31 to April 11. Additional details will be announced at a later date.
Also on tap at Cafe Carlyle are Ute Lemper, who will offer a special Valentine’s Day performance in advance of her previously announced engagement February 17-March 7; London-based singer, Barb Jungr in a program titled “The Men I Love” March 11-28; and Judy Collins April 11-May 30.
