Guys and Dolls Delays Broadway Previews by One Day

The Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls has delayed the start of previews by one day, to February 5, "to allow for an extra day of needed technical rehearsal," according to a news release. Audience members holding tickets for the February 4 performance will be contacted and acomodated at another performance. Opening night remains March 1 at the Nederlander Theatre, directed by Des McAnuff.

Guys and Dolls stars Oliver Platt Nathan Detroit, Lauren Graham Miss Adelaide, Craig Bierko Sky Masterson" and Kate Jennings Grant Sarah Brown. Also featured are Tituss Burgess as Nicely Nicely Johnson, Glenn Fleshler as Big Jule, Adam Lefevre as Lt. Brannigan, Jim Ortlieb as Arvide, Steve Rosen as Benny Southstreet, Mary Testa as General Cartwright, Nick Adams, Andrea Chamberlain, Raymond Del Barrio, Melissa Fagan, Kearran Giovanni, James Harkness, Lorin Latarro, Benjamin Magnuson, Joseph Medeiros, Spencer Moses, Rhea Patterson, Graham Rowat, William Ryall, Jessica Rush, Marcos Santana, Jennifer Savelli, John Selya, Brian Shepard, Ron Todorowski, Jim Walton and Brooke Wendle.

Packed with such classic hits as "A Bushel and a Peck," "Adelaide's Lament," "I'll Know," "Luck Be A Lady" and "Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat," Guys and Dolls features music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows.

The Broadway revival is being produced by Howard Panter for Ambassador Theatre Group, Tulchin/Bartner/Jenkins, Bill Kenwright, Northwater Entertainment, Darren Bagert, and Tom Gregory.
