Broadway alums Marcie Dodd, Helene Yorke, Marilyn Caskey and Tom McGowan will headline the second North American tour of smash-hit phenomenon Wicked. The tour will launch at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall in Fort Myers, Florida, on March 7 and play through March 29.
Dodd, who will star as Elphaba, flies in directly from the Broadway cast, where she recently completely a stint in the part. The actress is also a veteran of the Los Angeles and North American touring companies of the production. Additional tours include Hairspray, We Will Rock You and Grease, as well as projects with Disney Entertainment and Universal Studios.
Yorke, who will star as Glinda, recently appeared in the revival of Grease on Broadway. Off-Broadway credits include What’s That Smell… at the Atlantic Theater Company and Walmartopia at the Minetta Lane. She has toured with Disney’s High School Musical.
Featured as Madame Morrible is Caskey, whose numerous Broadway credits include the recent revival of Gypsy, Phantom of the Opera, The American Clock and The Utter Glory of Morrissey Hall. Her additional credits include the national tour of Man of La Mancha and numerous regional roles at theaters such as Washington D.C.’s Arena, Goodspeed, Pittsburgh CLO and the Papermill Playhouse.
McGowan, who will play The Wizard, received a Tony Award nomination for his performance in La Bete. He has also been seen on Broadway in Chicago and Ivanov. Off-Broadway credits include The Food Chain, A Few Stout Individuals, The Winter’s Tale and Coriolanus. Numerous television credits include Frasier and Everybody Loves Raymond.
The company also includes David de Vries as Doctor Dillamond, Colin Donnell as Fiyero, Ted Ely as Boq, Kristine Reese as Nessarose, and Carrie Manolakos as the standby for Elphaba. Rounding out the cast are Meredith Akins, Alicia L. Albright, Kerry Blanchard, Anne Brummel, Jeremy Duvall, Peter C. Ermides, Ryan Patrick Farrell, Jenn Furman, Jacqueline Graziano, Charles Hagerty, Todd Hanebrink, Gregory Haney, Zach Hanna, Lauren Linville, Michelle London, Shylo M. Martinez, Nathan Peck, Casey Quinn, Don Richard, Libby Servais, Daniel Torres, Nicky Venditti, Erin Wilson and Kevin Samual Yee.
