Tickets are now on sale for Michael Jacobs'
Impressionism, starring
Jeremy Irons and
Joan Allen. Directed by Jack O'Brien, performances of the new play begin on February 28 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, with opening night set for March 12.
The story of a photojournalist Irons and a New York gallery owner Allen who help repair each others' broken lives,
Impressionism marks Allen's first appearance on a Broadway stage since her Tony Award-nominated performance in 1989's
The Heidi Chronicles. Irons last appeared on Broadway in Tom Stoppard's
The Real Thing in 1984, a performance that earned him a Best Actor Tony.
The cast also includes Marsha Mason,
Andre de Shields,
Aaron Lazar, Michael T. Weiss and Margarita Levieva.
