Tickets are now on sale for the Broadway production of Neil LaBute's
Reasons to Be Pretty. Directed by Terry Kinney and starring Marin Ireland, Steven Pasquale,
Piper Perabo and Thomas Sadoski, performances begin at the Lyceum Theatre on March 13. Opening night is set for April 2.
The third play in LaBute’s trilogy of works on the country’s obsession with beauty,
Reasons to Be Pretty follows a tightknit circle of factory workers as Greg Sadoski is thrown into turmoil when his off-hand remarks about a female co-worker's pretty face and his girlfriend's lack thereof get back to said girlfriend Ireland. When Greg's best buddy Kent Pasquale and Kent's wife, Carly Perabo, also enter into the picture, the emotional equation becomes exponentially more complicated.
Reasons to Be Pretty received its New York premiere at the Lucille Lortel Theatre last season, starring Perabo, Sadoski, Allison Pill and Pablo Schreiber. The production features scenic design by David Gallo, costume design by Sarah J. Holden, lighting design by David Weiner, music and sound design by Rob Milburn and Michael Bodeen and fight direction by Manny Siverio.
