The Story of My Life to Get Original Cast Recording

PS Classics will create an original Broadway cast recording for The Story of My Life, which closed on February 22 after a total of 24 performances at the Booth Theatre. Original stars Will Chase and Malcolm Gets will enter the studio on March 13 in a session to be produced by Tommy Krasker, co-founder of PS Classics. A June 2 release date has been set.

“I’m thrilled that the wonderful Will Chase and Malcolm Gets will go into the studio to preserve this score as only they can," Broadway producer Chase Mishkin said in a statement. "I hope this gives audiences in the US and around the world a chance to discover a fresh writing team in Neil Bartram and Brian Hill."

The Story of My Life, a musical about two childhood friends and how that friendship profoundly defined their lives, features a score by Neil Bartram and a book by Brian Hill and was directed on Broadway by Richard Maltby, Jr. The orchestrations are by Jonathan Tunick.
