The Roundabout Theatre Company’s off-Broadway hit Distracted, directed by Mark Brokaw and starring Cynthia Nixon, has extended its limited run for the third time. The play, which opened on March 4 at the Laura Pels Theatre before extending twice, will now play through May 17.
In addition to Nixon, the cast of Distracted features Peter Benson, Shana Dowdeswell, Lisa Emery, Natalie Gold, Matthew Gumley, Mimi Lieber, Aleta Mitchell and Josh Stamberg.
Described as a fast-paced and disarmingly funny look at parenting in the age of the Internet and Ritalin, Distracted centers on a contemporary American mom who reaches out to teachers, psychotherapists and neighbors to figure out if Attention Deficit Disorder is the root of her son’s problems.
