Bobby Cannavale, Cheyenne Jackson and Rosie Perez will announce the nominations for the 75th annual Drama League Awards on April 21 at Sardi’s. As previously announced, Jeremy Irons and Cynthia Nixon will serve as co-hosts for the award luncheon on May 15 at the Grand Ballroom of the Marriott Marquis Hotel.
Each season, The Drama League’s 3,000 members bestow awards in five categories: Distinguished Production of a Play, Distinguished Production of a Musical, Distinguished Revival of a Play, Distinguished Revival of a Musical and the season's overall Distinguished Performance Award. Cannavale, Jackson and Perez were honored last season for their performances in Mauritius, Xanadu and The Ritz, respectively.
Long considered the theater season’s most festive award ceremony, the Drama League luncheon includes a dais featuring 60 to 70 stars of Broadway and off-Broadway productions, one of whom takes home the Distinguished Performance Award.
