Broadway.com Premieres Exclusive Video of Next to Normal Recording

Broadway.com is proud to premiere exclusive video footage of the new Ghostlight Records original cast album of the new Broadway musical Next to Normal. The recording is now available for digital download on iTunes and will be in stores on May 12. Click here to watch the video.

The video features Next to Normal stars Alice Ripley, J. Robert Spencer, Jennifer Damiano, Aaron Tveit, Adam Chanler-Berat and Louis Hobson recording songs from the show including "I Miss the Mountains," "You Don't Know," "Superboy and the Invisible Girl," "I've Been, "I Am the One," "I'm Alive" and "Light." The score for the show was written by Tom Kitt music and librettist Brian Yorkey lyrics.

Next to Normal, which is currently in previews at the Booth Theatre, is a contemporary musical explores how one suburban household copes with crisis. With provocative lyrics and an electrifying score of more than 30 original songs, Next to Normal shows how far two parents will go to keep themselves sane and their family’s world intact. Rent director Michael Greif directs the cast of six.
 

The Next to Normal recording was produced by Kurt Deutsch, Joel Moss and David Stone for Ghostlight Records, winner of the 2008 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album for In the Heights.

The Broadway.com video feature was produced by Paul Wontorek and edited by Jason Dickerson, with footage shot by Dickerson, Tim Kepler and John Marton.

Next to Normal opens on April 15.
