Tony winners Cynthia Nixon and Lin-Manuel Miranda will announce the nominees for the 63rd annual Tony Awards on the morning of May 5 at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. The nominations announcement will be broadcast live on the Clear Channel Spectacolor HD video screen in Times Square.
Nixon, who is currently appearing off-Broadway in Distracted, is a 2006 Best Actress Tony winner for Rabbit Hole. Miranda won a 2008 Tony for the score of In the Heights.
The 2009 Tony Awards will be held at Radio City Music Hall on June 7, broadcast live on CBS-TV. No host for the telecast has been named.
