Holland Taylor and Buck Henry have signed on for the forthcoming off-Broadway production of Mother, a new play by Lisa Ebersole, according to The New York Times. The play is scheduled to run from July 8 through August 1 at the Wild Project Theater in the East Village, directed by Andrew Grosso.
Mother is described as a play about an eccentric family and a champagne-fueled New Year’s holiday of revelations and rivalries.
Taylor is currently starring in the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men and is an Emmy Award winner for The Practice. Her Broadway credits include the infamous Moose Murders, Something Old Something New, Murder Among Friends and We Interrupt This Program.
A two-time Oscar nominee for co-writing The Graduate and co-directing Heaven Can Wait, Henry has acted on Broadway in Morning’s at Seven and Art.
