Ann Harada is set to rejoin the cast of Avenue Q on Broadway. Harada, who is currently in 9 to 5, will return to the role of Christmas Eve, which she originated and also played in the London, in the Tony-winning musical on July 6.
Harada, who has appeared on Broadway in Les Miserables, M. Butterfly and Seussical, will be joined at the John Golden Theatre by members of the U.S. national tour: Robert McClure I'm Not Rappaport will assume the roles of Princeton/Rod, Anika Larsen Xanadu, All Shook Up, Rent will play Kate Monster/Lucy the Slut and Danielle K. Thomas tours of Seussical, Big River, Little Shop of Horrors, Jesus Christ Superstar will take on the part of Gary Coleman.
A musical about 20-somethings, fresh out of college, who move to the city with big dreams and tiny bank accounts, Avenue Q has music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, book by Jeff Whitty and is directed by Jason Moore. It marks its sixth anniversary on Broadway on July 31, 2009.
The cast continues to include Christian Anderson, Jennifer Barnhart and Nicholas Kohn.
