Tony Winner Lin-Manuel Miranda Set for House Call

In the Heights creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda will be hitting the small screen. According to Entertainment Weekly, Miranda will guest star on House as the hospital roomate of Dr. Gregory House (played by Hugh Laurie).

Miranda won a 2008 Tony Award for his score for In the Heightsand was nominated for Best Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of the show’s central character, Usnavi. This season, he collaborated with Stephen Sondheim on writing Spanish-language lyrics for the Broadway revival of West Side Story. Since his departure from In the Heights, he has signed a deal with DreamWorks Animation to create a new animated movie musical. 

Miranda is expected to appear in at least two episodes of the hit Fox series, beginning with the sixth season premiere this fall.
