Prior to playing Madame Morrible in Wicked, Alexandra Billings made her Broadway debut in The Nap. She is best known for her television work, including Transparent, Goliath, How to Get Away With Murder, Grey’s Anatomy and From Schoolboy to Showgirl: The Alexandra Billings Story. Her film credits include Paddleton and Valley of Bones. She has been seen on stage in S/He & Me, Seussical, Berlin Circle, A Doll’s House, Trojan Women, Gypsy and Vampire Lesbians of Sodom. Her awards include the HRC Visibility Award, TPA Award, the Rainbow Spirit Award, Chicago Gay & Lesbian Hall of Fame, After Dark Award, Joseph Jefferson Award. Billings was the moderator of the Transgender Awareness Month panel at the Obama White House and is a Professor of Theater Arts at USC.
