Daveed Diggs received a 2016 Tony Award for his Broadway debut as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson in Hamilton. The California native originated the role in the gargantuan hit's off-Broadway run at the Public. As a member of the experimental hip-hop group clipping., Diggs' rap background has served him well on the Main Stem. Diggs also released his solo record, Small Things Giant, in 2012. He is a star of the new TNT series Snowpiercer and can regularly been seen on the ABC series Black-ish.
