24 Stars Shine in The 24 Hour Plays
An enviable lineup of actors gave their time and talent on October 23 to the 2006 edition of The 24 Hour Plays, ranging alphabetically from Jennifer Aniston and Elizabeth Berkley to Nia Vardalos and Lynn Whitfield. The event, sponsored by Gran Centenario Tequila, raised more than $175,000 for Working Playground, which brings arts programs to more than 40 underserved New York City public schools. After performing six newly minted 10-minute plays at the American Airlines Theatre, the hard-working cast and crew decamped to the Whiskey Bar at the W Hotel in Times Square to wind down with margaritas on the rocks (no salt).
