A Central Park Love-In for Hair with Jonathan Groff, Will Swenson & More
For three gorgeous nights in a row (September 22-24) at Central Park's Delacorte Theatre, the Public Theater presented a 40th Anniversary concert performance of their very first show—the groundbreaking musical ode to love and peace: Hair. Broadway.com was there on Sunday night to check out the flower-powered event, which featured Spring Awakening star Jonathan Groff as Claude, Will Swenson as Berger, Karen Olivo as Sheila and a gaggle of fresh-faced new talents as the Hair tribe. Topping off the evening, cast members from the original 1967 production stepped to the stage to lead a theater-wide sing-a-long to “Let the Sun Shine In.” Check out our photos of the love-in!
