A Dashing Opening for Shanley's Defiance
Here's to another reunion of two great minds. Doubt playwright John Patrick Shanley and director Doug Hughes have joined forces again for the off-Broadway's Defiance. The show opened at the Manhattan Theatre Club on February 28. Defiance, which is the second installment in a trilogy of Shanley plays, takes place in North Carolina in 1971 on a Marine base, where two officers struggle with weighty topics. The cast of the drama took their bows at MTC and then headed over to the Beacon to celebrate. Many familiar faces were there to congratulate the company. Take a look!
