A Majestic Opening for Henry IV
A grand new production of Henry IV opened on November 20 with stars galore--both onstage and in the audience. After the 33-member company took their bows at Lincoln Center's Vivan Beaumont Theatre, the all-American troupe headed to Tavern on the Green to toast their director, Jack O'Brien, and bask in the glow of numerous cheers and compliments. The play, which stars Kevin Kline, Michael Hayden, Richard Easton, Ethan Hawke, Audra McDonald and Byron Jennings, tells of father and sons, kings and revelers, warriors and wives. It was a night to remember!
