The much anticipated revival of
Equus officially opened at the Broadhurst Theatre on September 25, marking the Broadway debut of screen star Daniel Radcliffe and bringing powerhouse Richard Griffiths (also of Radcliffe's hit
Harry Potter films) back to the New York stage after his Tony Award-winning run in 2006's
The History Boys.
Equus, which is about a troubled young man who commits an unspeakable crime in the stable where he works, also features Anna Camp, Carolyn McCormick, Lorenzo Pisoni, T. Ryder Smith, Graeme Malcolm, Sandra Shipley and Kate Mulgrew (as well as Collin Baja, Tyrone A. Jackson, Spencer Liff, Adesola Osakalumi and Marc Spaulding as the show's signature horses), all of whom joined in a group trot to Chelsea Piers to lighten up after their successful opening.
