A Supremely Starry Opening for Julius Caesar
There's a buzz at the Belasco Theatre! Julius Caesar, William Shakespeare's tragic tale of political conspiracy in ancient Rome has returned to the Great White Way after a long absence. The reason? Well, one of them is that this new production stars one of Hollywood's most talented and admired actors, Academy Award winner Denzel Washington. After receiving critical acclaim starring in box office hits like Glory, Malcolm X, Training Day and The Manchurian Candidate, Washington takes on director Daniel Sullivan's bloody modern-day revival of Julius Caesar. He was cast opposite a slew of talented stage veterans, including Jessica Hecht, William Sadler, Colm Feore, Tamara Tunie, Jack Willis and Eamonn Walker.
