A Vote for Democracy on Opening Night

Playwright Michael Frayn and director Michael Blakemore, who both won Tonys for their last Broadway collaboration, Copenhagen, have reunited for this season's Democracy. The new play, which stars James Naughton and Richard Thomas, concerns West German leader Willy Brandt, and the spy whom he trusted as his close assistant. After the opening night performance on November 18, the company and many luminaries gathered at Tavern on the Green to toast the Broadway production.
