All Hail Liza Minnelli’s Royal Return to the Palace

Forty-three years after she debuted on Broadway on Flora, The Red Menace, Liza Minnelli returned to the Palace Theatre on December 3 to debut Liza’s at the Palace…, her first show at the legendary venue since 1999’s Minnelli on Minnelli. A who’s who from the showbiz pantheon filed though the front door (Elaine Stritch, Shirley MacLaine, John Kander, Tommy Tune) as well as Liza’s many famous devotees (Sandra Bernhard, Mary-Louise Parker, Alan Cumming, Mario Cantone).
