On July 10, the day after Antonio Banderas and his wife Melanie Griffith checked out a matinee of In the Heights, the cast returned the favor by helping Banderas launch Blue Seduction, his new fragrance for women. Cast members from the Tony-winning musical performed with a little help from children in dance mentorship programs throughout the city. Held at the Cedar Lake Dance Theatre, the event also announced Banderas' new partnership with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The handsome actor-singer-dancer (last seen on Broadway in the 2003 revival of Nine) will donate one dollar to BC/EFA for each gift-set of Blue Seduction sold during the 2008 holiday season. Sounds like Christmas in July to us!
