It's hard to believe that more than 25 years have passed since Jim Dale amazed Broadway audiences with his graceful, athletic performance in
Barnum alongside a little-known actress named Glenn Close as his wife, Charity. The former co-stars maintained their friendship over the years, and on November 13, they co-starred in an one-night-only performance of
Busker Alley at the Kaye Playhouse. Directed by Tony Walton, the evening was a benefit for the York Theatre Company and represented the New York premiere of this work composed by the Sherman Brothers of
Mary Poppins fame. Broadway.com dropped by to capture the Dale/Close reunion and snap the talented cast and benefit guests.
