She's got two Tonys on her shelf, and now Bernadette Peters has a new distinction: best-selling author! The beloved Broadway star has turned her favorite charity into a charming children's book, Broadway Barks, complete with a CD featuring Peters singing a lullaby she wrote herself. The brand-new author appeared at the Lincoln Center branch of Barnes & Noble on June 12 for a reading, then signed copies for eager fans of all ages. Book buyers should know that Peters is donating all of her royalties to Broadway Barks, which celebrates its 10th anniversary on July 12. Bravo, Bernadette!
