Animal lovers and Broadway fans wagged their tails with delight on June 9, when Bill Berloni made an appearance at the Lincoln Center Barnes and Noble. Berloni, the legendary theatrical animal trainer, was on hand to discuss and sign his new book Broadway Tails: Heartfelt Stories of Rescued Dogs Who Became Showbiz Stars. And a couple of those showbiz pups, namely Bruiser and Rufus from Broadway's Legally Blonde, showed up with fave co-stars Orfeh and Andy Karl. Along with Legally Blonde, Berloni has trained animals for such productions as Gypsy, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The big-hearted trainer only casts rescue and shelter dogs for shows and has pledged to donate part of his proceeds from the book to the Humane Society of New York. Omigod! We adore him!
