It's been a good five years since the musical version of
Bright Lights, Big City made its debut at New York Theatre Workshop, but composer Paul Scott Goodman just went into the Hit Factory on May 23 to make a recording of his rock-fueled score. Thanks to Sh-K-Boom Records, the show is getting a bit of a second life with this all-star studio album. Off-Broadway players
Patrick Wilson and Ann Marie Milazzo recreated their roles for the recording, joined by talents like Jesse L. Martin, Sherie Rene Scott,
Christine Ebersole, Brooke Shields, Richard Kind,
Gavin Creel, Eden Espinosa and Celia Keenan-Bolger.
