Broadway's Annual Shopping Spree at the BC/EFA Flea Market
Mother Nature must be a fan of Broadway and bargains because you couldn't have asked for better weather on September 21, when Broadway Cares/Equity Fight AIDS mounted its 22nd Annual Flea Market and Grand Auction. Held on West 44th Street and in Shubert Alley, fans were treated to clear skies and cool breezes as they rummaged through tables full of Broadway memorabilia, some of it cheap and some of it rare. Many recognizable Broadway troupers—and more than a few soap-opera notables—showed up to pose for pics, enjoy the great outdoors before it gets cold and support one of the theater community's most noble organizations. The event raised a whopping $496,380 for a great cause! Click on and catch the spree!
