Celebrating 1,000 Performances, Spamalot Scoops Ice Cream & Raffles 1,000 Bucks!
It may be hotter than hell in Gotham these days, but the folks at Spamalot were in hog heaven as they celebrated their 1,000th performance this week by raffling off $1,000 and giving out free scoops of ice cream to passersby in front of their theater in Shubert Alley . During the lunchtime hours of August 9, the kooky event was hosted by current Spamalot star Michael McGrath, with assistance from two of the show's lovely chorines, Jennifer Frankel and Ariel Reid. We stopped by to check it out and have a couple of licks. Thanks for the tasty, cool relief from the heat, Spamalot!
