Celebrating Squeeze Box with a Small Party

When Anne Bancroft first saw Squeeze Box, she probably thought, "Here's to you, Ann Randolph!" The glamorous Bancroft decided to try her hand at producing and voila! Squeeze Box, Randolph's solo show about her personal experiences of working at a women's homeless shelter and her love affair with an accordionist, opened at off-Broadway's Acorn Theatre on July 27. After the performance, Randolph, director Alan Bailey, Bancroft and her hubby Mel Brooks partied with well-wishers at the nearby West Bank Cafe.
