Changing of the Guard at Hairspray
It was an emotional night for the cast of Hairspray on August 10. The mega-hit musical bid farewell to its dear Tracy Turnblad, Marissa Jaret Winokur, (who is going Hollywood) and several other members of the talented cast. After the emotional performance, Hairspray writers Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman showered the audience with Krispy Kreme doughnuts, the gift that keeps on giving. The cast and company, including new Tracy, Kathy Brier, relaxed in the penthouse of the Hudson Hotel to celebrate the changing of the guard.
