Chita Rivera had a starry weekend January 6-8, when famous friends came to visit the Schoenfeld Theatre to see the star of Chita Rivera: The Dancer's Life. Ther performer's nostalgic visitors included an emotional Rita Moreno, who memorably starred in the film version of West Side Story in the role Rivera originated on Broadway. Other backstage luminaries included Melanie Griffith, whose husband Antonio Banderas shared the stage with Rivera in Nine, and the illustrious and seasoned performer Diahann Carroll. They love you, Chita! And so do we.
