Color and Light: Joan Allen and Jeremy Irons Open in Impressionism
A blend of art history, personal memory and romance, the new play Impressionism prompted two Tony-winning movie stars, Jeremy Irons and Joan Allen, to return to Broadway after more than 20 years. Irons and Allen and their accomplished supporting cast (including Marsha Mason and Andre De Shields) graciously greeted the press after the show’s opening night performance at the Schoenfeld Theatre. (Fun fact: The theater housed the star’s previous hits—The Real Thing for him; The Heidi Chronicles for her—when it was named the Plymouth).
