Daniel Radcliffe Trades the Stable for Sardi’s at Portrait Unveiling

Oh, to be young, successful, talented and on the famed wall at renowned eatery Sardi’s after a star turn in your acclaimed Broadway debut… Yes, it’s been a pretty good run for Daniel Radcliffe, who heads the hit revival of Equus. The New York theater community has been mad about the charming film veteran since he hit the stage on September 5, and showed its love January 29 with the unveiling of the leading man’s very own Sardi’s portrait. “It’s quite overwhelming!” Radcliffe quipped at the unveiling of his likeness, before collecting congrats and handshakes from playwright Peter Shaffer and castmates Lorenzo Pisoni, Spencer Liff and Adesola Osakalumi. Then, after a quick signing of the pic to make it official, Radcliffe bounded back across the street to the Broadhurst Theatre to give yet another performance as the tortured Alan Strang.
