Pop princess turned Broadway diva Deborah Gibson just finished a run as Velma Kelly in Chicago at North Shore Music Theatre, just outside of Boston. Broadway.com caught the show on one of its final performances, the matinee on November 25. The entire cast of familiar faces--including Kim Morgan Greene as Roxie, William Michals as Billy, Eleanor Glockner as Mama and Broadway.com commercial girl Jennifer Elle Lewis as Hunyak--made quite an impression, adding their own sizzle to the now-familiar Chicago style (and raised over $30K for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS during the run!). Clearly with the Broadway revival now in its sixth smash year, the Hollywood version that has Oscar buzzing on its way and now Gibson and Co. razzle-dazzling Beantown crowds, there is plenty of Chicago to go around!
