Composer Alan Menken was the man of the moment on April 16, when Disney's brightest Broadway stars put on a cabaret-style show in his honor at the Hudson Theatre. The Little Mermaid's Sierra Boggess and Sean Palmer, Mary Poppins' Ashley Brown and Josh Strickland from Tarzan all took to the stage for an evening that set aside the hits in favor of rare gems rescued from Menken's cutting-room floor. The night wasn't without surprises: Beauty and the Beast alum Donny Osmond made an unexpected appearance. Even Menken took his own turn in the spotlight, proving he sings as beautifully as he writes.
