The cast and creative talents of new musical 9 to 5, a star-studded stage adaptation of the hit 1980 flick starring Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, were up bright and early July 15, gathering at New 42nd Street Studios to officially greet Broadway before punching in at L.A.'s Center Theatre on September 20 (the show will open on the Great White Way at the Marquis Theatre on April 23, 2009). Stars Allison Janney, Stephanie J. Block and Megan Hilty joined composer and original film star Dolly Parton in introducing the new mega-musical, about three fed-up secretaries who get even—dead even—with their misogynistic boss, played by Marc Kudisch. "When they asked me to write the music, I said I'd try," Parton explained humbly during the event. As the cast of 30 (including familiar faces Andy Karl, Kathy Fitzgerald and Van Hughes) belted out the familiar strains of Parton's infectious title song, the show's Grammy-decorated composer and stell
